ALL ABOUT YOUNGTIMERS!

Youngtimers Transit began as the vision of two Washington DC area educators; working mothers who were each familiar with the challenges in balancing family & career. As teaching professionals, they could witness first-hand the affect these stresses were having on parents and children alike.

As they spoke with other parents, it became apparent that transportation woes were a recurring theme. However, while a number of DC metro companies provide transportation services, none were specifically targeted to address the needs of families. Hence, the idea for Youngtimers Transit was born.

Sandra Harris
President

"As a single parent whose son attended a private school, transportation was always an issue. I was constantly applying a band-aid approach to getting him where he needed to be, whether to school or extra-curricular activities. My passion to make Youngtimers Transit excel stems from a desire to provide the consistency and reliability that both children and parents need in managing daily life."

Youngtimers Transit operations are overseen by Sandra Harris who has nurtured student learning in the DC Metro area for over 40 years. In both the District of Columbia and Fairfax County Public School Systems, she has served as Classroom Teacher; Elementary Resource Teacher; Assistant Principal; and Principal. The leadership and expertise Mrs. Harris has obtained in education allows her to provide the strategic direction needed to anticipate and meet the community's changing needs.

Mrs. Harris' formal education consists of a B.A. in Elementary Education from Xavier University (New Orleans, LA) and a Masters in Education Administration and Leadership, from Trinity College (Washington, D.C.).

L. “Ronnie” Allison
Vice-President

"My husband & I both work and we have two toddlers, so it can be hard to arrange drop-off and pick-up from day care. Because they are so young, I am especially particular about with whom I leave them. Any company that deals with children needs to be able to instill a high level of confidence with the parents. At Youngtimers, you will know that the safe transport of your loved ones is our top priority."

Mrs. Allison manages the day-to-day operations of Youngtimers Transit. She was not only born and raised in PG County, but she has taught in both Charter Schools and the Prince Georges County Public School System for over 10 years. Her focus in Youngtimers Transit is ensuring quality customer service by delivering exceptional client experiences.

Ronnie's formal education consists of a B.S. in Psychology from Bowie State University (Bowie, MD) and a Masters in Education and Human Development from George Washington University (Washington, D.C.).

See why we are the talk of the town!

It was a blessing when another parent informed me that transportation was to become available at my child's daycare!

After talking with Ronnie, I was sure I wanted my child transported by Youngtimers.

Signing up was easy, and the customer service I received was pleasant and professional.

I have been pleased with Youngtimers Transit, and I would definitely reccomend them to friends and family.

I have 3 children ages 6-12. Not only can it be challenging to get them to their schools each day, I sometimes have to say, "No" to after school activities just because I have no way of getting them there.

I am so thankful that with Youngtimers my schedule does not have to dictate my life.
